Methodology
The HOSENG study is a cluster-randomized clinical trial, interlinked with another cluster-randomized follow-up trial (VIBRA-trial), using a 2 x 2 cluster-randomized controlled factorial trial design. We hypothesize to achieve 90% testing coverage through an intervention of multi-disease home-based HIV testing services campaign combined with oral fluid-based self-testing for individuals who are absent or who decline HIV testing during the household visit - compared to standard-of-care (multi-disease home-based HIV testing services campaign without offer of oral self-testing).
